about the partnership

The Nanaimo Train Station Partnership was created to raise the funds necessary for the restoration of Nanaimo's E&N Train Station.

The Partnership was started by the Young Professionals of Nanaimo, the Downtown Nanaimo Partnership Society and the Island Corridor Foundation.

Nanaimo Train Station Partnership

Through a grass roots campaign and the help of Nanaimo's businesses, citizens and community groups, the partnership hopes to grow until we raise the remaining $390,000 for the full restoration of the E&N Station.

To find out how you can be a partner of the restoration please contact Andre Sullivan of the Young Professionals of Nanaimo or Matt Hussmann of the Downtown Nanaimo Partnership Society.

Island Corridor Fondation (ICF)ICF

The Island Corridor Foundation (ICF) was incorporated in early 2004, signaling a partnership of unprecedented magnitude between the Regional Districts and First Nations. In December 2004, the Foundation was granted registered charity status. As a charity, ICF will be able to issue tax receipts for gifts received from organizations and individuals.

The ICF is focused on the long term sustainability of rail transportation on Vancouver Island and is raising funds for the upgrade of rail lines along the entire corridor. The E&N Station, along with five other stations, rail and land from Comox to Cowichan and west to Port Alberni, is owned by the Island Corridor Foundation.
